You may know Ubuntu One, the award winning virtual disk space on the cloud. Ubuntu uers don't need to do nothing to enjoy this service, but Lubuntu ones have to do a bit of job, due to the system simplicity. The instructions are here:
- First of all you must open LXTerminal and enter the following:
sudo apt-get install -y ubuntuone-control-panel ubuntuone-control-panel-qt ubuntuone-client
- Now, if we want it to execute on every startup, edit the session file (still on LXTerminal) type "sudo leafpad /etc/xdg/lxsession/Lubuntu/autostart" without the quote:
- Save, close and restart. Since now you can access to your Ubuntu One folder at your user partition. You won't see any spinner on PCManFM but the notification service will notice you every upload or change to your U1 space. Enjoy!
Warning: the Ubuntu One installer is built on QT libraries, and Lubuntu is built on GTK, so installing this metapackages will reduce your disk space up to 80 Mb. Do it at your own risk!
